Chairman of Banbury Chamber of Commerce unveils new offices

Chair of Banbury Chamber of Commerce cuts the ribbon

Claire Kingsbury, Chair of the Banbury Chamber of Commerce today officially opened four new offices at the Colin Sanders Innovation Centre. The offices were built by Ambecon Ltd to help the centre react to local demand for smaller office space. The first new customers, Studio 8 Search and Media Selectors are due to move in on 1st February.

Martin Connor, Centre Manager of the Colin Sanders Innovation Centre said ‘This work has enabled the Centre to expand it’s offering to smaller companies, a sector that we have always been able to offer the best support to. I am really pleased with the quality of the work undertaken and I am sure that it will be an asset to the centre.’

Colin Sanders Innovation Centre was established to offer a supportive environment were entrepreneurs can thrive. The centre, currently home to 21 businesses, is on the campus of Oxford and Cherwell Valley College and accessed off of Mewburn Rd. It has a unique situation, easy access by public transport and plenty of parking, but is close to the town centre and the facilities that are on offer. The new offices will improve the offering for small businesses from the Banbury area.

Claire Kingsbury, Chair of the Banbury Chamber of Commerce commented’ I am very honoured to have been asked to open the new office suites at Colin Sanders Innovation Centre. I think it is fantastic that the centre has recognised the need for more smaller sized offices within a serviced building. The support that the centre can offer to smaller sized and start up businesses is invaluable in helping to get a new company off the ground.’

Steve Martin of Ambecon Ltd, the builders who undertook the project said ‘We are delighted to expand our services into the Banbury area. We hope to expand our work in the area and I think we can help local businesses as we offer all our commercial customers a quotation rather than an estimate, making it so much easier to budget for the job.’
